Considering the Studs audience, Ringo Studio conceived “Try-On Tools” and a visual system for engaging shoppers. An experiential material palette provides a backdrop for dual programs: shopping and piercing. Texture and color are leveraged to create an atmosphere of fun, diminishing any sense of fear or unease the piercing instruments and process might engender. Mirrors and display devices enlarge the brand’s small-scale jewelry, making it more visible and adding to the playful mood. Millwork and display systems provide a toolkit for extending the brand in a myriad of spaces and contexts: plastics and acrylics become an armature, easily adapted, and materially complimentary to Studs hard jewelry metals.
